Stephen Rebello is a screenwriter and Edgar Award–nominated author of twelve nonfiction books, including the bestselling Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of 'Psycho,' adapted into the 2012 film Hitchcock, starring Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, and Scarlett Johansson. He wrote several drafts of that film's screenplay.

His other books include Criss-Cross (2026 Edgar Award nominee), A City Full of Hawks, Dolls! Dolls! Dolls!, and Reel Art, honored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He has written screenplays for Disney, Paramount, and Focus Features, and his feature stories and celebrity interviews have appeared in GQ, Playboy, Cosmopolitan, and Movieline.

Stephen served as a contributing editor at Playboy and Movieline.

For decades, Stephen has also privately mentored beginning and established writers, helping them shape raw ideas into polished, publishable manuscripts and proposals.
